I'm happy to edit this Amplified Digital Britain report and top and tail it, if people are prepared to offer content and plan the report together?

i think the best idea would be to write your own report, then you can market this as the "real alternative". if you wait for that call, sadly it is likely to not happen for a very long time (or never).

you have great ppl with great minds who could contribute to a digital report, do it, then ensure all; the right media futurists get hold of it, journos etc and present it as the real digital britain.

Excellent thinking Jo. I've been to Clay's talk at the LSE today and he IS good. But agree that we can collectively add something meaningful to the debate from a specific UK angle. Has this been discussed in the amplified context somewhere already? I think we can definitely aim to produce a short report, article, pamphlet, blog post etc. on what our vision is. The process of agreeing on one vision will be interesting in itself. Not sure if it's possible.

Basic themes that one would need to explore could be along the following lines:

Infrastructure
- why do we need "super fast" broadband?
- Fixed broadband vs. wireless delivery?
- public vs. private investment

Content
- the role of copyright/IP
- net neutrality
